So, who doesn't crave pizza at least once a while?! I know I certainly do! I found a great pizza recipe on The Gracious Pantry's blog, made it tonight and ummmm, SO good!! It was great for a tasty little treat and so easy! 5 minute prep, 10 minute cooking and DONE! I see this becoming a staple in my diet:)
So, here's what you need:
- 1 whole wheat tortilla - size is up to you. I used 6 inch and I highly recommend Food for Life's tortillas
- 3 tbsp. Marinara sauce - make sure you check labels! The less ingredients the better!
- Veggies of your choice, thinly sliced or grated (I used mushrooms, onions, and frozen spinach which I thawed first). Use as many veggies as you'd like!
- 1 or 2 tbsp. fat free or reduced fat cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Place tortilla on baking sheet
3. Top with marinara sauce, veggies, and cheese
4. Cook for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and veggies are slightly tender
5. Remove from heat, fold in half and let cool
POOFFFFF! Delicious and HEALTHY pizza!! So good and so easy, just my type of meal:) You could even add some shredded chicken to pump up the protein content..hmmm... I feel a Hawaiian pizza in my near future! :) Hope you enjoyed the recipe and please feel free to share your pizza creations! I love getting new ideas:)
